Scrapbooking For Moms

The time that your child is a baby is a special time. There are so many new things for them to experience. First bath, walking, trip to the beach to name a few. These are the moments you don’t want to slip away. To preserve these you should create a baby scrapbook. Here are some baby scrapbook ideas to get you going.

1. Select the theme of your baby scrapbook

The first thing to think about is the theme of the scrapbook. You want to have a theme since having a bunch of pictures thrown together isn’t to inspiring for the people who will be looking at the scrapbook later. Baby scrapbook ideas can be a trip theme, a theme of first experiences or learning to walk.

2. Select the layout of your baby scrapbook

Now that that you have the theme you need to pick out the layout you want to use. One of the first baby scrapbook ideas for layouts that come to mind include natural layouts. In this one your pages are going to have woods, animals, flowers and perhaps meadows on them. Another is a layout with fairy creatures. In this one you’ll have the wood nymphs, fairies and exotic creatures. Or you might choose to go with the familiar Disney layout. You’ll have castles, princesses and perhaps Mickey Mouse and Winnie The Pooh. Think about what story you want the scrapbook to be telling before choosing the layout.

3. Select the embellishments, words and titles you’ll be using on your baby scrapbook

Once you have picked out the theme and layout then you should figure out which pictures go on the pages. This is the time to also pick out the embellishments you will be using and the story you want to make with your titles and captions. Scrapbooks are supposed to be telling a story so this is one of the more important parts of your project. Take the time to get this right.

Making a baby scrapbook of your children is a pleasure. The toughest part is going to be picking out the theme, layout and embellishments. With a little practice this will become easy to do.

Scrapbooking For Moms

Children grow up so fast. Make sure that you are preserving their lives. There are a few ways to do this and one of the best is with a scrapbook. I’ve been blessed with five lovely girls. I realized early in their lives that I wanted to immortalize our time together as a young family. You start with baby girl scrapbook layouts.

There are a number of themes that these can be in:

  • Nature: flowers, trees, meadows, beaches, etc.
  • Colorful: bright vibrant colors, pinks, oranges, yellows, reds
  • Fairytale: Castles, pixies, woodlands, fairies, etc.
  • Princess: Belle, Jasmine, Cinderella etc.

You can get the baby girl scrapbook layouts going a couple of different ways. The first is to acquire the materials you will need to make the scrapbook from scratch. These are:

  • A scrapbook
  • Scrapbook paper (acid free)
  • Double-sided tape
  • Scissors
  • Colorful paper, which you will use to create embellishments
  • Pens (acid free)
  • Photos of your baby girl

A second way is to purchase a scrapbooking kit. You’ll give up a little in freedom of design but you’ll gain in ease of making the scrapbook. The kits are professionally made and look great so you are fairly well assured of a scrapbook that will get lots of compliments. The kit will provide:

  • Scrapbook
  • Scrapbook paper
  • Embellishments
  • Stickers

You’ll need to supply:

  • Tape
  • Scissors
  • Pens
  • Photos

The early years of children when they are babies go by so fast. Make sure you don’t lose all of those memories. Take the time to pick out one of the baby girl scrapbook layouts and then make that scrapbook. Years from now you’ll be able to go over it and reminisce with your daughter. Undoubtedly she will thank you for making the effort. Happy scrapbooking.

Baby Ultrasound Scrapbook Page Ideas

Before you even meet your new baby, why not start throwing around baby ultrasound scrapbook page ideas? The truth is that there are a lot of baby ultrasound scrapbook page ideas out there, and finding the right one will ensure you that you have a scrapbook that you will be sure to treasure. The first time you see your baby is in the ultrasound picture and when you want to capture that moment of sheer love and awe, there are a few things that you should keep in mind.

When you are thinking about designing your baby’s ultrasound scrapbook, there are a number of different formats that you might choose. In most cases, you are going to be dealing with black and white pictures, so make sure that you keep that in mind. The color in the book will not be coming from the pictures, so consider bordering them with something bright and cheerful. Think about the themes of waiting in anticipation and how excited you are. This is what seeing the ultrasound is all about, so consider what your options are going to be.

When looking around for baby ultrasound scrapbook page ideas, consider making it into a combination scrapbook/diary. When kids are young, they love to know what their moms are doing while they are out and about, and this is your chance to show your child what you were doing when they were still inside you! For instance, how did you get to the doctor’s office, and what were you eating that day? What did your read and what was in the newspaper? You can make this a terrific archive for those memories.

Similarly, what about making the scrapbook look like a cool, futuristic viewing screen? You can paste in buttons at the bottom that are labeled things like “feed,” “sing” and “love,” and imagine that you are doing all that to your unborn baby. This is a wonderfully humorous way to set up your baby’s ultrasound scrapbook, and you can bet that your family and the child in question will be amused.

Before we leave the top of scrapbooking for your baby’s ultrasounds, consider the archival nature of the pictures that you use. For the most part, ultrasound pictures are not of an archival nature, and because of this, you have to take some care if you want to make sure that later generations will be able to see them. There are a few steps to take when you want to make sure that these precious photographs last:

1. Cover and protect

If you want to preserve the photographs themselves, make sure that they stay in a place that does not get any sun. Having a fancy envelope that is pasted into the scrapbook itself is one way to do this.

2. Scan the photograph

Scan the photograph in at at least 300 dpi and save it to your computer or on to a CD. Then you can print it out on archival paper.

There are lots of great baby ultrasound scrapbook page ideas out there. Find the baby ultrasound scrapbook page ideas that best suit you and find out how to put them together.

Mommy Loves Baby

Mommy Loves Babymommylovesbaby

You dreamed about this child for months but nothing prepared you for the love that welled up inside when you first laid eyes on your baby. Now, each day is a new opportunity to express that love. I loved watching my baby sleep in his crib. I would check on him several times a night just because I didn’t want to miss a thing.

His tiny face was the spitting image of his father’s and that made me smile. I couldn’t imagine what my life was like before I met my son. All I knew was that I wanted to be there for him every day from that time on.

Picture Ideas:

Oftentimes new moms are so conscientious of their weight that they hide from the camera. Years later they look back at the photos of baby’s first year and don’t have the pictures they wished they had. It’s as if they weren’t there for the first year! Please don’t make that mistake.

When your mother comes to visit or when daddy isn’t too tired from work, make the most of their presence to enlist their help taking pictures. Mommy feeding baby in the rocking chair and mommy changing baby’s diaper are both good picture ideas.

Mother and baby’s first outing at church dressed in their Sunday best will make a peach of a picture. Even sleepy mom holding a cranky baby as she warms a bottle is a tender moment.

When you are well enough, go out with baby. Take daddy along to snap pictures of mommy and baby visiting people and places. Take along the camera to baby’s first “well baby” visit. Capture mommy and baby in the park on a summer’s day and even in the grocery store. Be creative.

Scrapbooking Ideas:

Mommy and baby moments are worth remembering. Craft stores make silly quote stickers. Pretend baby is making comments in the photographs. If you and baby visited several places in the same day, use sticker footprints or a footprint stamp to connect the pictures showing your travels.

Taking for granted my sensitivity when it comes to Babys ( I raised 3 of them to almost men)  , I want to publish a series of PLR articles off topic to the site’s theme.

The Perks Of Using Baby Video Monitors

The security and comfort of the baby always come first before anything else. But as much as you would like to always stay beside your child, it is inevitable that there are other things that also need to be taken care of. Doing two things at the same time, watching over your baby and doing your other household chores, seem quite impossible. So what do you do? You can use baby video monitors.

What are baby video monitors?

Baby video monitors are the advance version of the simplex transmitter and receiver system of baby monitors. In the past, baby monitors are only one way transmissions – audio from baby’s room are sent to parent’s receiver and that’s it. But with the fast development in technology, baby monitors have also been improved. One of these improvements is the baby video monitor.

Baby video monitors, instead of just using audio, now make use of visuals. Parents can now opt to choose whether they want a camera installed so that they may be able to monitor their baby visually. The camera sends feeds to its partner video monitor used by the parents.

Wired or Wireless

Baby video monitors can either be wired or wireless. There is really not much difference between the two in terms of monitoring quality except for the fact that wired devices use wires while the wireless ones don’t. If you intend to use the video monitor at only one location, then you may opt to use the wired version. But if you intend to use the video monitor in different places all over the house then it would be a good idea to avail of the wireless devices. Take note though that wireless video monitors also have their limitations. The device for the baby and the device for the parents must be in their proper range with each other or else wireless intermittent connection may occur.

Conventional Baby Monitors VS Baby Video Monitors

The question whether to use the conventional simplex baby monitors or the baby video monitors will all fall down to preference. If you think that using the conventional baby monitors would be enough for you to monitor your child, then so be it. But if you think that having visuals over your child would make you feel that your child is safer, then go for baby video monitors.

Baby Video Monitors Extreme

The usual setup for baby video monitors is that a camera is placed in the baby’s room then a monitor, usually an LCD type, will be carried by the parent. But now, video monitors have gone to the extreme level. Parents can now use the baby video monitors to watch over their youngling even when they are at the office. With the help of an Internet capable computer, parents can now access their baby cameras anywhere at any time.

Most of the time however, this system is used to keep tabs on your nanny, caretaker or babysitter instead of the baby. You may want to make sure that whoever is in charge of your baby at that moment in time is giving his or her utmost care and love.

Other uses of these baby video monitors system over the Internet is when you badly want to see your baby but can’t since it still office hours. Just log-in to your baby cam at home and in an instant you will be able to see your baby.

Baby’s First Bath

Baby’s First Bathbabys1bath

When baby’s little umbilical scab falls off, it’s time for a real honest to goodness bath. Some mothers use the sink for the first bath and some use a baby bathtub. Your baby should enjoy the bathing process. It will remind them of being in the womb. Make sure you warm up the room so baby won’t cry because of the cold.

Watch your baby relax as you scoop warm soothing water over his head and body. I had a baby bathtub with a non-slip pad in the bottom. I treasured my time bathing our children by singing to them. Cleaning their hair, their faces, each little ear, and every tiny finger and toe brought me joy.

Picture Ideas:

Take a picture of the tub filled with warm sudsy water before baby gets in. As baby’s eyes open wide from the new experience, snap another few photos. If you have a baby boy, beware of his little water fountain! (Hint: A strategically placed baby-sized washcloth can turn a naked baby picture into one that can be displayed on the wall.)

Mommy can trade places with daddy and let him participate, too.

Once baby is all soaped up, take another picture. Take a picture of baby’s hair all white with shampoo.

Then, rinse off baby and snuggle him/her in their own special towel. I preferred the hooded towels because babies look so cute in them. Snap pictures at will as baby is dried and dressed. Bath time is complete.

Scrapbooking Ideas:

Search out scrapbook paper with bubbles on it or maybe a rubber ducky design. If you go with the bubble design, choose foam rubber ducky pieces and glue them around the edges of the page.

Pictures of baby can be cropped in a circular pattern to resemble bubbles rising in the air. If you have an artistic side, draw a bathtub full of bubbles at the bottom of the page.

Baby’s Favorite Toys

Baby’s Favorite Toys

Nbabytoonow that baby can sit up and roll over, it’s time for him to occupy himself. Sit baby in the playpen or crib. Give them one toy at a time and see how interested they are in each one. Toys that light up or play music will stimulate baby more. When my oldest son was a baby, we strapped a toy to his crib that played music and scrolled lighted pictures across a screen.

His little eyes were glued to that toy especially in the early morning while it was still dark and the light from the toy filled the room. My niece likes to play with an angel bear that sings ôJesus Loves Meö when you press his foot. Baby’s fascination with new things is refreshing. You’ll remember your own childhood wonder.

Picture Ideas:

As baby plays with each toy, snap a picture. The more intense photos will be the ones you take when baby is playing and squealing and not paying any attention to you. Try to capture the look of curiosity on their faces as they examine each toy.

Get photos of baby with the same toys over the months to show his growth.

Scrapbooking Ideas:

Stickers of teddy bears and other cuddly animals would be perfect to decorate this page. The title of the page can be My Favorite Things like the song from The Sound of Music. Here’s another idea if baby has chosen several favorite toys. Find a sticker of a clown or a juggler with their hands outstretched.

If juggling items are part of the juggler sticker, cut them off. Arrange your pictures of baby in a circle above the juggler’s head as if he were juggling baby and his/her favorite toys. To go along with the juggling idea, choose scrapbook paper with a Big Top circus design.

Baby’s First Tooth

Baby’s First Toothfirsttooth

If you thought baby could scream before, wait until they start teething. Some mothers use traditional teething rings with the liquid inside but I was always afraid that my son’s budding teeth would puncture the plastic. Frozen waffles work just as well and if baby bites down, there’s no harm done.

Baby can also spike a fever when teething. Children’s liquid pain reliever will bring it down fast and help with the teething pain. Baby will become fussier and crankier than usual at bedtime. The upside of the whole ordeal will be the sight of that pearly white tooth in baby’s mouth. Every cute little smile from that moment on will be dotted with a shiny tooth.

Picture Ideas:Baby Shower Games

When you first feel an extra bump along baby’s gum line, start with the pictures. Entice baby to smile so that you can get a shot of baby’s entire gummy mouth.

Each week, take a new picture. This will be a slow process but you’ll have the benefit of catching every sparkly tooth coming in during baby’s first year of life.

Also, take pictures of baby chewing on a toothbrush.

Scrapbooking Ideas:

Find stickers of giant teeth with smiling faces. Punch a half circle in the top of each tooth sticker. Affix them to the page around the edges of the page with the top of each tooth angled towards the center of the page.

Take a piece of string and paste it around the outside of the page to represent dental floss. Make sure that the string lies across each hole to resemble a necklace of teeth.

Use your silly quote stickers on the teeth to have the teeth congratulate baby on finally growing a tooth. Place baby’s pictures in the center of the floss necklace.

You’ll be able to find some adorable toothbrush stickers to put on this page, as well.
